its curves shimmering like liquid mercury
beneath the streetlamps.

The driver had vanished moments ago — 
a man in a dark coat, collar turned high, 
ducking into a tiny shop,
chasing the warmth of cigars and silence.

In another minute, the man will return,
the Jaguar’s engine will stir, 
and the moment will dissolve into memory. 

But for now, you are witness — 
blessed with a glimpse of stillness, 
a fleeting intersection of beauty, solitude, and rain.”
